A continuation of some of my favorite pieces that have found their way into someone's home.

This vase is from a piece of Clario Walnut heartwood and finished with Tung oil and polished to a soft satin sheen.  It is nearly 5" in diameter,  7" high and has a wall thickness of 1/4".  I gave this one to my girlfriend.

Maple Hollow Form, click for a larger image.

This hollow form is from a piece of Curly Maple hardwood and finished with Tung oil and polished to a soft satin sheen.  It is 6 1/4" in diameter,  4" high and has a wall thickness of 1/4".

Privet natural edge bowl.  This bowl was a was turned from a log section of a Privet tree we took down in our backyard.  Privet is usually a hedge but this one was allowed to grow.

Elm natural edge bowl.  This bowl was a was turned from a log section of an Elm tree we took down in our backyard to make room for our new shop.  I have a lot more of this wood so look for more in the future.

Elm natural edge bowl.  Another bowl turned from a log section from the Elm tree we took down in our backyard to make room for our new shop.  This bowl is 8 3/4" wide and 3 1/2" at its highest point.  Finished with Tung oil.

Elm salad or popcorn bowl.  More 'backyard' Elm.  This one is 8 3/4" wide and 4" tall and finished with Tung oil.

Maple Hollow Form, click for a larger image.

This hollow form is from a piece of  Maple burl and finished with Tung oil and polished to a soft satin sheen.  It is 4 1/4" in diameter,  2 3/4" high with a Blackwood collar.  The opening is 3/4" in diameter.

Peruvian Zebrawood Pepper mill.  This is a 6" peppermill that has some spectacular figure and color.  The grain in this mill makes it truly unique.

Peruvian Bloodwood Pepper mill.  This is an 8" peppermill that has some spectacular figure and color.  The picture doesn't show it too well but it just shimmers.
