Showcase Of The Wood Elfin's Workshop:

My gallery shows examples of previous works and some of the items that I can make for you.  You get to choose the wood or shade of wood; you get to choose the size shape and style of the piece (within the parameters of my lathe and ability).

Padauk Potpourri Bowl, click for a larger image.

This Potpourri bowl was made as a birthday present.  It is made from African Red Padauk and is 2 1/2" high and 4" wide.  The recipient loved it.  It is finished with Tung oil and has a small pedestal type foot to give it that special lift.   If you like it I can make one in this style for you.

Chechen Burl Bowl, click for a larger image.

Chechen Burl natural rim bowl.  7"; wide and 3" high at the highest point. Finished with Tung oil and waxed to a lustrous shine.  If you like this bowl I can make you one in the same style - it will not have the same colors or shape as it will be unique to the burl it comes from.

Hawaiian Koa Peppermill, click for a larger image.

Hawaiian Koa pepper mill.  Nearly 9" high and finished with Tung oil. This mill was made for the neighbors over the fence from us, now they want a salt mill to go with it. I can make a peppermill to your design or one of my own the wood of type of wood of your choice.

Koa and Maple salt and pepper set, click for a larger image.

Hawaiian Koa pepper mill and Maple salt mill.  These mills were made for a client to give as a wedding present.  They are finished with Tung oil and the interiors are left natural.  The salt mill uses ceramic in its mechanism to prevent corrosion.

Cherry Candy Dish, click for a larger image.

Cherry wood candy bowl.  This bowl is nearly 8"; wide and 1 3/4" high and is finished with glossy Tung oil then waxed and buffed to a high sheen.

Hawaiian Koa pepper mill.  7 1/2" high and finished with Tung oil.

Maple Toothpick Holder, click for a larger image.

This hollow form is much smaller than it appears in the photo (click on the picture to see it with toothpicks in it to get a feel for the size) - it is actually 2" wide and 1 3/4" high and it is completely hollowed.

C.C. says, "this would be great as a dollhouse accessory also."

Flame Maple Bowl, click for a larger image.

This hollow form bowl is turned from a piece of Flame Maple and hollowed out to form a wonderful bowl that can be used to serve M & Ms, peanuts, candy or just to display.   It is 7 1/2" wide and nearly 2" high; there is a small 1/8" high foot that it sits on that doesn't show in the photo.

Maple Burl Bowl, click for a larger image.

This is one of my favorite bowls.  It is Maple burl and is nearly 7" in diameter and 3" high and is perfect for popcorn, serving nuts or candy - fill it with M&Ms and set it on your desk and you will get a lot of comments (and fewer M&Ms).  Finished with Tung oil then polished and waxed.

I had the great pleasure of selling this to a couple from Vienna - my first piece going overseas.
